PGI Plays Northwest Territories

Inuvik

Tournament Date: March 26 - 30, 2012

The PGI in the Northwest Territories is held every other year in partnership with the PGI in Nunavut.

The PGI in the Northwest Territories is like no other. This year it is a four-day event that includes visits to schools from our guest celebrities, community concerts, silent auction, community feast and, of course, golf. The school visits get the kids rocking and rapping to the likes of Connie Kaldor, Jonathon Torrens and our own celebrity Godson aka Aaron Hernandez.

Our community concerts showcase local northern talent and give our artists a chance to play with Canadian legends such as Russell deCarle, Mike Stevens and Connie Kaldor. When the weather permits, we golf on snow, ice or slush on a course specially created for us. We host special putting events with school students: they sometimes even design the holes. The Premier’s Dinner is a highlight of the event with awards to our learners and thanks to our generous volunteers and sponsors. We celebrate literacy in a fun, uniquely northern way.
